This morning, my cat reminded me once again who’s really in charge at home. At precisely 5 AM, she decided that the night was over. Why? Because she had decided that I had slept enough.
Meowing for Authority
With impressive persistence, she began her morning symphony. No regard for anyone else still sleeping – she made sure the entire house was awake. And why? Because she demanded service. That’s the thing about cats: Dogs have owners, but cats? They have staff.

Mission Accomplished: Food, Milk, Treats
So, there I was, getting up. Half-asleep, I stumbled to the kitchen while she watched me like a little queen on her throne. Milk, food, and – of course – a treat were served. Finally, she was satisfied. And me? Wide awake. The whole house? Awake.
The Height of Audacity
And what did she do next, you ask? Well, she did what cats do best: curled up in her favorite spot and peacefully fell back asleep. And there I stood thinking: Really?
Between Love and… Well
Moments like these make you come up with very creative thoughts – like wanting to “lovingly” shake her for a second. Just kidding, of course! 😅 Because in the end, we love these little tyrants, don’t we?
Why We Still Love Them
That’s life with cats: exhausting, chaotic, but always with a touch of charm and humor. They know exactly how to wrap us around their little paws, and we? We play along every single time.
