As I look back on the past 25 years, it’s hard to find the right words to describe the journey. A quarter of a century is a long time, filled with professional achievements and personal milestones. This month, my company, Net-Build GmbH, celebrates its 25th anniversary. It’s a milestone that fills me with pride, but also makes me pause and reflect on everything that brought me to this point.
One Idea, One Goal, and a Lot of Courage
It all started in 1999 with a simple idea: helping businesses harness the potential of the internet. Back then, the internet was in its infancy—slow technology, no cloud computing, and “digital transformation” wasn’t even a buzzword yet. With little capital but plenty of passion and determination, I founded Net-Build GmbH. It was a leap of faith, and looking back, one of the best decisions I ever made.
Highs and Lows: The Life of an Entrepreneur
Over 25 years, you collect countless stories—stories of success to celebrate, but also challenges that make you question everything. There were years when I felt unstoppable: projects ran smoothly, customers were thrilled, and the team kept growing. But there were also moments when everything seemed to fall apart—technical failures, lost clients, or wondering if we could survive the next big market shift. Entrepreneurship is not a sprint; it’s a marathon.
It’s the highs and lows that shape you. They teach you resilience, how to fight for your goals, and, most importantly, who you are and what drives you.
Support Makes All the Difference
One lesson I’ve learned over these 25 years is that no one can take this journey alone. I’m fortunate to be surrounded by an amazing team and loyal customers. They are the reason Net-Build GmbH stands where it does today. Without them, none of this would have been possible.
On a personal level, the journey wasn’t always easy. Family and friends often had to take a backseat when work called. I am incredibly grateful to the people in my life who supported me, even during times when I doubted myself.
What Remains?
After 25 years, one thing is clear: it’s not just about running a successful business or satisfying customers. It’s about having a vision, evolving constantly, and never forgetting where you came from. Every success, every crisis, and every decision has been a step on the path that shaped me and Net-Build GmbH into what we are today.
